Western Hockey League

The WHL is one of the three Major Junior hockey leagues in Canada. Divided
into three divisions, the WHL consists of 18 teams from British Columbia,
Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Washington and Oregon.
The WHL's record in the Memorial Cup is proof positive that the WHL is the
best developmental ground for improving players' hockey skills
against the best available opposition.

Western Hockey League

The Prince George Cougars are a team based out of
Prince George, British Columbia, and are a member of
the WHL (Western Hockey League). The Cougars are my
favorite team in the WHL not only because of their talent,
but because I am on their protected list. What is a
protected list you may ask? Each team is allowed to
"protect" 50 players on a list which reserves that player
to the team so that no other team in the WHL can take that
player.
